What is the National Junior art Honor Society?
The National Art Education Association began the National Junior Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art and to generate interest in art programs at the secondary level and beyond. Students inducted to the NJAHS must then be nominated for the NAHS.
How can I be a part of this organization?
Here at the C.W. Goetz Middle School, students are nominated by their 7th grade art teachers. Students recieve an application packet in September and students who are chosen to be in the NJAHS are inducted in a ceremony in November. Students particpate in Community and School based art activities such as murals, contests, play sets, support for the trooops and more.
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year.
Accepted members will recieve a Letter. The first Manditory meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 1st in Rm. 503.
Induction ceremony will be Tuesday, Nov. 28th @ 7pm in the Goetz IMC. All are welcome. Induction practice will be Monday, Nov. 27th @ 2:30pm. Students will take the late bus.
