What is the National Junior art Honor Society?
The National Art Education Association began the National Junior Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art and to generate interest in art programs at the secondary level and beyond. Students inducted to the NJAHS must then be nominated for the NAHS.
How can I be a part of this organization?
Here at the C.W. Goetz Middle School, students are nominated by their 7th grade art teachers. Students recieve an application packet in September and students who are chosen to be in the NJAHS are inducted in a ceremony in November. Students particpate in Community and School based art activities such as murals, contests, play sets, support for the trooops and more.
End of year party in June. Trip is Friday, June 9th. Letters will be going home for those that did not meet attendance requirements. Homeroom meeting on Tuesday, May 23ed. May 24th meeting cancelled. Next meeting Wednesday 5/31. Lollipop sales continue.
