Welcome Back !!!!

Congratulations on being selected to be in the Advanced Math Course for your 5th Grade year at Holman !

For Advanced math you will need to have a 1- 1 1/2" 3-ring binder that will be used ONLY for Math ** I will provide you with pockets/dividers for the things we need and will set it up together  *anything larger is too big and take up too much room in Backpack

You will also need ONE 3 subject spiral notebook that should last for the year. (or a single subject but you'll probably need more than one for the year.  It should have the 3 holes so that it can clip into the binder.

It will be where ALL work for assignments will be completed.  Nightly assignments are online from Envision - but ALL  calculated work is required in THIS notebook. (even when we use calculators later on)

Each page will be labled with the corresponding date and assignment.  Periodically, notebooks will be collected and checked.  The notebook is NOT "scrap paper".  I will teach you exactly how to use it and show your work.   

I will provide you with a Calculator and pencil case pouch to store it in IN your binder and the pocket dividers that we will use.

Please Bring your Fully Charged Chromebook to School EVERYDAY !!!!

 Back to School Night for Grades 3-5 is Thursday, Sept 13th

I will be holding a separate  Back to School night meeting at 6:30pm in our classroom Rm 381 (across from APR next to Library) BEFORE you go to your child's Homeroom teacher at 7pm

I will send an additional reminder sheet when it gets closer to the date !
