• What is the National Junior art Honor Society?

The National Art Education Association began the National Junior Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art and to generate interest in art programs at the secondary level and beyond. Students inducted to the NJAHS must then be nominated for the NAHS.

How can I be a part of this organization?

Here at the C.W. Goetz Middle School, students are nominated by their 6th or 7th grade art teachers. Students recieve an application packet in September and students who are chosen to be in the NJAHS are inducted in a ceremony in October. Students particpate in Community and School based art activities such as murals, contests, play sets, support for the trooops and more.

  • ALL NJAHS Applications and Projects are due to Mrs. CAllahan or Mrs. Lee by Friday, September 16th. NO LATES WILL BE ACCEPTED!
