    Lenape

The Lenape (also known as the Delaware Indians) were the people who originally lived in the mid-Atlantic area (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware) of the United States.  Most Lenape Indians were forced to move to Oklahoma.  While most of the Lenapes were removed, there are still small Lenne Lenape communities remaining in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
