8. Personal Conduct: Know the TEAM VALUES: Get "R.I.P.T."
-
Respect
-
You will be the best version of yourself. We represent our school and our community of Jackson on and off the field. Adhering to our team values is more than an expectation - it is required to maintain your place on the team.
-
Behavioral misconduct, whether in school or athletic participation, will not be tolerated.
-
-
Integrity
-
Academic integrity - classes come first - make sure you are a student in good standing in your core subjects.
-
A “Work Hard” attitude is required. There are no shortcuts to improvement. To win and succeed, athletes are expected to put in the work.
-
-
Perseverance
-
As a member of the team, you have an obligation to attend practices and competitions and focus on personal improvement. You are expected to remain dedicated to these endeavors the entire season.
-
-
Teamwork
-
There is no place for negativity on the teams. We practice healthy competition. Everybody will try their best, and we will all respect one another’s contributions to the teams. This same level of respect will be extended to our opponents.
-
An athlete's inability to live up to these team standards is a cause for suspension and even dismissal from team activities.
