8th Grade Literacy
We had a fantastic first few days and now we are jumping into the exciting 8th Grade Curriculum. Our first story, Raymond's Run, is about a young runner named Squeaky who learns that winning isn't everything when she notices that her brother with special needs has been paying close attention to her daily routines.
Our IXL Diagnostic Assessment will be on September 18th.
Linkit Benchmark A will be on September 29th.

Learning Ally letters will be sent home by Friday, September 9th. Please review and if there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
SSR (silent sustained reading) will take place on a weekly basis in class. Students should have a book with them at all times. If they do not have their own book, they will be required to log into Learning Ally to choose an audiobook. Aside from reading in class, students should be reading at home for at least 20 minutes per day.
