Mrs. Dawn M. Coughlan

My name is Dawn M. Coughlan. I have been teaching for 28 years. I have worked with all age ranges and grade levels. I am certified to teach K-8 and ESL K-12. This is my 8th year in Jackson, and I am honored to be able to work with all English language learners at Jackson Memorial High School. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and especially my daughter and son. I love to be creative. I play music, paint, draw, and write. I am also an avid reader and runner, and I have a passion for traveling and learning about new cultures, food, and languages. It is not a coincidence that I became an ESL teacher. Every day, not only do  I get to do what I love, teach, but I also get the opportunity to discover new cultures, traditions, and languages from my students without stepping outside my classroom.
