Conceptual Chemistry is an introductory course designed to provide students with foundational knowledge of chemistry, the study of matter and change. This course enables students to see how the structure and interactions of matter on the smallest scales result in the objects and phenomena we observe in daily life. Students will learn how chemistry relates to and can be applied to the study of the Earth, the environment, stars and planets, and living things. Students will master a wide array of laboratory techniques, utilize technology, and complete a variety of hands-on activities.
