Dear Switlik Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and is looking forward to winter break. I want to thank everyone who came out to visit our classrooms for American Education Week and who participated in parent/teacher conferences. Your involvement in your child’s school is a crucial part of their education. 

We continue to make capital improvements to our school via grants in the form of water efficient bathroom fixtures. This is an ongoing project that will be completed in the months to come. Additionally, we are building a new playground for the Switlik Preschool students. We are looking forward to its completion. 

Please mark your calendar:

  • December 12th - Shortened Day - 1:35 p.m. dismissal
  • December 14th - Picture Make-Up Day
  • December 23rd - Shortened Day - 1:35 p.m. dismissal
  •  School will be closed on Monday, December 26th through Monday, January 2nd for Winter Break.  Students return on Tuesday, January 3, 2023

Report Cards:  As the first marking period nears an end on December 8th, please be sure you are ready to access your child’s report card on the district portal website.  Report cards will be available on the portal to parents on December 22nd.  

The students of Jackson Memorial High School are collecting “Presents for Pets”on behalf of the Jackson Animal Shelter. We have a box set up for collection in the Switlik lobby.  Please click on this flyer for more information on how you can help!

We are happy to announce our Educator of the Year, Mrs. Abigaill Duffy, Second Grade Teacher and our Educational Services Professional of the Year, Mrs. Eileen Camara, Paraprofessional.  These amazing educators have been recognized for their outstanding dedication and commitment to our Switlik students.  Congratulations to Mrs. Duffy and Mrs. Camara!
