AP Biology

This course is designed for students in grades 10 -12 who have completed the following prerequisites: Honors Biology with a grade of 85 or better, Chemistry I, with a grade of 85 or better. The teacher recommends successful completion of summer course work. Students interested in medical fields or biological fields in college. The Advanced Placement (AP) Program is an in-depth continuation of Honors Biology. This course is available to selected students who are highly motivated and who plan to pursue a career in the sciences. It should be understood that, due to the challenging nature of the course, only those students with strong academic skills and commitment to academic excellence should participate. The emphasis is to successfully complete the Biology Advanced Placement Test, which is sponsored by the College Board. Students enrolled in this course are required to take the AP Exam in May.
