School begins at 9:10 am and ends at 3:20 pm ( this is 5 min later than last year's start and end times.Please consider joining the Switlik PTN. You can send a check, cash or venmo the PTN directly.The class with most membership will win a Breakfast/PJ Party. The contest ends on 11/21. Membership is $10. This is a list of suggested school supplies.Accordion file with 4 sections labeled as: Planner/hw, Math, SS/Science, LiteracyBlue or black pensseveral pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils please)pencil sharpener ( make sure it's the kind that collects the shavings)2 colored pens (any color)highlighter( any color)4 Marble Composition Bookssoft pencil case (the plastic boxes take up too much room on/in the desks)Chromebook case (the PTN sells them as well as local stores)Inexpensive headphones or earphones that can be kept in school at all times. Birthday Party Policy
Birthdays will be celebrated at lunchtime in the cafeteria. To be sensitive to allergy concerns, non-edible items (e.g. toys, stickers, pencils) are strongly encouraged for these celebrations so that all children can participate in the celebration.Ice-cream cakes and whole cakes cannot be accommodated by the food service staff. You can deliver your items and/or treat to the receptionist or send them in with the birthday child. Visitors are not permitted in the cafeteria. Birthday and/or Party invitations are not handed out in school, under any circumstances. However, parents are invited to join the class “party list” which will be distributed to parents that join the list so they may mail or email invitations. Please contact your child’s teacher directly for this information. We currently have 26 students in our class.
