Varsity Head Coach: April Szymczyk

This is Coach Szymczyk’s first year as the Head Coach of the Lions after serving as one of the team’s assistant coaches for the past four years. Coach Szymczyk is a former collegiate athlete as well as a 2013 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School and has always dreamt of leading this program. In addition to serving on the basketball coaching staff, Coach Szymczyk also serves as the Varsity Assistant Softball Coach at Jackson Liberty for the past four years. Drawing upon her experiences from high school and collegiate athletics, Coach Szymczyk is excited to provide a positive, challenging, and fair experience for her players. She understands the importance of academics as well as athletics and is excited about helping our girls grow into the best people and athletes that they can be. Coach Szymczyk looks at it as an honor to be able to give back to a program that helped make her who she is today.
