    1990 BOYS SOCCER TEAM

     INDUCTION CLASS OF 2003

In 1990, the Jackson Memorial High School Boy’s Soccer Team reached the summit of New Jersey State Soccer by capturing the NJSIAA Group IV Championship.

With a combination of speed and skill, Coach Mike Costa’s Jaguars compiled a win loss record of 22 and 1.  The road to the state title was filled with tournament titles as well, including the A-South, Ocean County, and Shore Conference Championships.

The Jaguars were named “Number One New Jersey High School Soccer Team”, and were listed by the Star Ledger as one of the 10 best high school soccer teams in New Jersey history.  USA Today ranked the Jags as high as #8 in the nation.

That year, teammates Rob Johnson, Ashley Eure, and Joe Danski were selected First Team All State.  Numerous other players went on to compete at the Division 1 level in college.  Most notably, Rob Johnson played professionally for the NY/NJ Metrostars.
