ATHLETE
SOCCER, BASKETBALL, TRACK
Leon Davis was one of the more versatile athletes of his day. He earned 11 varsity letters in soccer, basketball and track.
As a 4-year starter in soccer, Leon was selected to the All-County, Shore and State soccer teams. His junior year he led his team to the 1990 Group IV championship.
Leon was a 3 year starter in basketball and was named captain his senior year. He scored 1149 points to mark an impressive basketball career.
During his track years, he set the record in the 100-meter dash, 10.6 sec. Leon was also a member of the record setting 1600-meter relay team with a time of 3:22.4 sec. He was All-Shore and All-County.
In his senior year he placed second at the State Tournament of Champions’ 100-meter dash.
Upon graduation Leon attended Lewis University where he earned 3 varsity letters in soccer and 3 varsity letters in track.
