Dave Greene was a standout athlete throughout his high school career. Clearly he was the best athlete of his era.
In football, Dave played end, and after his senior season received numerous accolades including All Conference, All Shore, Second Team All State honors, and team MVP.
In baseball he was voted team MVP and named to the All Conference baseball team. Offensively he was a perennial 400 hitter.
Dave Greene made his greatest mark in basketball. With extremely fast hands and a flawless jump shot, Dave scored 1230 points in just three years of varsity competition. To date his record still stands. Basketball honors include team MVP for three years, two years All Conference, and two years All Shore.
Dave Greene’s intense competitive spirit and positive "can’t be beaten" attitude contributed to his athletic excellence.
Finally, his graduating classmates voted Dave senior superlative "Most Athletic Male".
