Degrees and Certifications:
This is my first year in the Jackson School District, but not my first experience teaching. I received my educational background through Georgian Court University, where I graduated with a degree in History and Special Education. I was formerly employed at the Rugby School in Wall Township, a school for students with special needs.
Since 2007, I assisted in serving a diverse community of learners as an aide, a member of the crisis intervention team, and ultimately as a teacher of Social Studies at the secondary level. Aside from my work in Special Education, I am also an instructor of martial arts.
Of importance to me as a teacher is fostering an environment that encourages student expression while maintaining an atmosphere that places a premium on promoting mutual respect for individual differences. Importantly, students should feel safe, respected, and have fun learning while in class.
I am so excited to be working with your child, and look forward to the new school year!
