• Course Overview:

    Health education is a course in which students will learn about a variety of issues that will help them to better understand the importance of living and making healthy lifestyle choices. Students will learn how to enhance their personal lives as well as avoid potentially harmful situations. All dimensions of health and wellness will be stressed so that students will be able to learn and make healthy, informed choices that could impact them for the rest of their lives. 

    Topics: 

    Nutrition, Tobacco and Alcohol safety, Accessing reliable information, Influences on health and decisions, Emotional health & self-esteem, stressors, and goal-setting skills.

    Class Rules:

    1. Arrive to class on time and take your seat.
    2. Make sure you have all required materials, including writing utensils.
    3. Remain in your seat at all times unless instructed otherwise. 
    4. No cell phones, air-pods, or any electronic devices. 
    5. Treat others with respect and encouragement. 
    6. If you have any questions or comments, raise your hand.
