Mrs. Matassa
Starting up the Instructional Media Center from its first day at JLHS was such a great opportunity! As a 25 + year educator every year brings unique challenges and accomplishments. My 19 years for the Jackson School District have been so rewarding and I only hope the students have learned as much from me that I have learned from them. Check the Media Center page frequently for continuous updates.
Being named the District Educational Services Professional of the Year in 2018 was such an honor! I love how everyday is different in the library! I strive to help our students critically evaluate information. As explained by Linton Weeks, "In the nonstop tsunami of global information, librarians provide us with floaties and teach us to swim."
