Principal's Message 2nd Marking Period 2024

Hello Goetz Family,

The 2nd Marking Period is halfway over, and we are on our way to new experiences and wonderful opportunities.  The 2024-2025 school year is off to a great start, and we appreciate your support as we build on this early momentum.  

Academically, Carl W. Goetz Middle School is maintaining the high standards we have set as one of the top schools in Ocean County!  Great job to our students, staff, and the community for supporting the initiatives that are paying these dividends!  

Our fall sports teams maintained the tradition of excellence with competitive squads and remained in the hunt for conference championships.  Our winter sports are looking for a strong start to continue that success.  The highly distinguished Band and Chorus programs continue to shine with the upcoming winter concerts.

At Goetz, we continue to recognize students for their positive character traits through our Character Recognition program.  The students learned how to be responsible members of the community through initiatives such as “Week of Respect,” “Red Ribbon Week, “Unity Day” and our updated “D.A.R.E.” program.
