Summer Update 2023
GOETZ
SUMMER UPDATE
PHYSICALS
All physicals were due on August 1st. Any physicals coming in after that date may cause a delay in processing and the possibility of missing tryouts. Please refer to individual coaches for information posted on the school web page and individual team pages.
GOETZ MIDDLE SCHOOL ORIENTATION
AUGUST 30th
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Goetz Middle School will have an open orientation this year on August 30th from 9 am - 12 pm. It is open to all grades. However, an adult must accompany each child. Staff members and students will be on hand to assist in navigating the building and following your schedule. At 10:00 am, there will be a 45-minute orientation for anyone who would like to attend if they could not come in the Spring. The PTN will have a table set up with Goetz gear and sign-up information.
6TH GRADE PARENTS
State law requires students in preschool or 6th grade (or who will be 11 years old) to have certain immunizations (Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Tdap), and Meningococcal, depending on grade) for the 2023-2024 school year. (Note: This has nothing to do with any COVID vaccines.)
ALL STUDENTS DESCRIBED ABOVE MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF THESE REQUIRED VACCINATIONS TO YOUR SCHOOL NURSE’S OFFICE by Oct. 13, 2023.
(NOTE: Preschoolers have until Dec. 31 to receive the influenza immunization.)
Below is a link to a letter explaining this requirement, including an Immunization Update Form you can bring to your doctor.

This update form can be returned to your school nurse anytime. You can also bring it to the school over the summer (which is encouraged so we can update our records before the new year begins).
Please note that it must be returned to your school nurse by Oct. 13, 2023, or your child will not be allowed to attend school after that date.
Sincerely,
Mr. Perino
Principal
