I hope you are reading this in your native language. If not, use a translation app to help or grab a friend who can translate. My name is Mrs. Barton. I have been teaching for 27 years. This is my 28th year in the classroom. I look forward to helping each student gain proficiency in the 4 domains of Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking English. Together we will build life skills and lasting friendships as we explore a variety of topics in Science and Social Studies through games, activities, projects, literature, and hard work. It is important to have a notebook and folder for each class. If you don't have a Chromebook issued to you already, you will have one issued to you soon. If you are new to Jackson, please contact the district registrar. Once you are registered, you will be scheduled for classes. If you are new to the country and English is not your first language, I will meet with you and test what you might already know.
