Computer Literacy is a one marking period project based course which provides an introduction to computer and informational literacy, building a foundation of computer literacy skills that will be used throughout students' lives.
Lessons will enhance proficiency in keyboarding skills, file management and data based programs in a series of integrated applications. Students will learn research, editing, and desktop publishing skills while developing an understanding of the nature and impact of technology in their lives. We will address appropriate online behaviors related to cyber safety, cyber bullying, cyber security, and cyber ethics, fair use, copyright, and the credibility and accuracy of digital content.
Don't let your assignments go unfinished or your questions go unanswered. If you are behind or confused, see me to schedule after school help or extra work time sessions.
Five Points are deducted for each day an assignment is late.
After one week past due, assignments will not be given credit.
Additional opportunities for homeroom help are available daily in room 500 with a pass. (THIS OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE DURING PARCC TESTING)
Take advantage of multiple opportunities for extra help or time in order to avoid point deductions and zeros.
