• Mrs. Kasper’s Computer Class Rules

    • Students are expected to adhere to all school, district and class rules.
    • Always be respectful of each other, teachers, rules and property.  Do not talk during instruction, or during work time.  Do not touch other students, or their computers or property.
    • Food and drink are not permitted in the computer lab. No exceptions.
    • Students must be in class on time. Three lates without a pass = detention. All subsequent times a student is late without a pass = detention.
    • Work is to be submitted on time. Assignments lose five points for each day they are late.  No assignment will receive credit if it is received one week or more after the due date. Your grade for that assignment will be a zero.
    • Students who miss class for any reason are responsible for finding out what was missed, and for completing this work by the due date. Students who are absent from school may have the due date extended by the number of days class was missed, if this is arranged with teacher.
    • Cheating and plagiarism will not be tolerated. All work must be an original creation of the student, paraphrased, or written in the student’s own words. Students are not to copy and/or plagiarize any work from a fellow student, the internet, or any other resource. Any assignment containing any evidence of copied or plagiarized content will not be accepted or graded and will result in a zero for the entire assignment.
    • While you are in this class, you will be given specific tasks to accomplish.  You may not surf the internet, watch videos, play, socialize, do work for another class, or simply watch others use the computer.
    • Students may not change settings on the computers unless specified by teacher.
    • Preparation and participation count toward student grades. Be prepared for class and stay on task to earn these points.  Class disruptions will result in loss of participation points and disciplinary action.
    • Cell phones are not permitted in class. If you use a cell phone in class, it will be brought to the assistant principal's office, where you may claim it at the end of the day.
    • You will not be permitted to leave the class multiple times a week, unless special permission is arranged.  If you leave to use the restroom, go to the one which is closest to the classroom.
    • After school extra help is available most days by appointment. See me to arrange a time.
    • You may work in room #500 during homeroom EVERY DAY.  Be sure to tell your homeroom teacher that you are present before you go to room #500.
    • If you are confused, please ask me! I am here to teach you and help you.  Don’t struggle on your own. I want to help you learn!
